Beaches in Playa Blanca
There are three soft, sandy beaches with clear water and excellent views across to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura. Papagayo Beach is some eight kilometres away from Playa Blanca and is accessible by a dirt track. The resort has a walkway around the beach and seafront, where you can visit one of the many restaurants or just relax in a seafront café.

There is a limited choice of supermarkets and gift shops although you will find a couple of small shopping centres dotted around the resort.

Nightlife in Playa Blanca is quite subdued. However, there are a couple of music bars in the resort and entertainment includes live music and professional shows.
Local Specialities of Playa Blanca
There is a variety of restaurants dotted around the resort but the majority are concentrated in the centre. Fish is a speciality, delicious with salted potatoes, 'papas arugadas', and a spicy garlic based sauce.
