Holidays in Corralejo - Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
Fuerteventura is endowed with some of the best windsurfing beaches in the world. Jandia has a fabulous beach with miles of silver sands and vast sweeping dunes. Correlejo is a vibrant resort with views to the tiny Isla de Lobo. Caleta de Fuste is characterised by its large, horseshoe-shaped beach, offering excellent watersports. Although some parts are still developing, it's quiet and relaxed and has a wide range of bars and restaurants.
Corralejo, the largest resort on Fuerteventura, has a winning combination – an idyllic beach stretching for 11 km, and situated just 3 km from the resort centre, plus the best nightlife on the island. Located approximately 36 km from the airport, the original fishing village is still the heart of the resort surrounded by tasteful modern buildings. It suits families, couples and groups of friends.
Beaches in Corralejo
The long golden stretch of beach at Corralejo is called Playa Grande. The coastal breeze here is great for experienced windsurfers, but may be too fresh for some. Likewise, the diving and swimming are also superb, but the currents can be strong and care must be taken.
